Data privacy statement

The protection and security of your personal information is important to us, therefore we endeavour to use it carefully.

Definition

We define personal data as name, date of birth, address, e-mail address.

Generation of personal data

On our website, no personal data is identified automatically. That is, only through your active input of name, address, email, etc. can you give us this data. And only by an active input on our part can this data be matched with what already exists (address or name changes, etc.).

Statististical evaluations

When you visit our website, our web server records that access in a log file. This includes the following information:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access of the requesting computer
  • Name and URL of the downloaded file
  • Amount of data transmitted
  • Notification of whether access was successful
  • Data identifying browser and operating system used
  • Website from where access originated
  • Information on technology used (screen resolution, browser etc.)

The processing of this data is for the purpose of website use (connection), system security, technical administration of network infrastructure and to optimize our online service. The IP address is only identified in special cases, i.e. for investigating hacker attacks. (de facto not possible in Austria)

Cookie policy

To facilitate the use of our website we use cookies. "Cookies" are small bits of information that are stored by your browser on your computer hard drive and are necessary for personalised use of our website. Thus, the information contained in cookies facilitates session control, in particular improvement of navigation, for example, through font size. Cookies help you navigate our site. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies. By changing the settings of your browser, you can change this. You can also remove cookies stored on your computer at any time by deleting temporary files (browser bar, select Tools -> Internet options)

Web analysis

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ( "Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer, to help analyse how users use the website. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing website and internet related services. Google may also transfer this information to third parties, unless required by law or where such third parties process the information on behalf of Google. Google will not associate your IP address with other data held by Google. You can prevent the use of cookies by changing the settings on your browser; however,  you may not be able to use all features of this website in that case.

By using this site you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner described above and for the aforementioned purpose. This data collection and storage can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. Given the debate about the use of analytical tools with full IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension "_anonymizeIp ()" and therefore IP addresses are processed only shortened to exclude direct personal reference.

At the time of this writing, in Austria an IP address does not constitute personal data.

Newsletter

To sign up for DEXWET's newsletter service, we need an e-mail address to which the newsletter should be sent. More details will be used to address you by name in the newsletter or to allow for questions. We use the double opt-in method when sending out newsletters. That means we will only send newsletters when you confirm your registration after provision of your e-mail address through an e-mail from us, and a link contained therein. This ensures that only you can log in as the user of the specified e-mail address for the newsletter service. Your confirmation must follow the e-mail promptly, otherwise your registration and e-mail address will be deleted in our database. Until we receive your confirmation, our newsletter service will refuse to accept any other registration requests using this e-mail address. You can cancel subscriptions to our newsletters at any time, either by sending us an email or via the link at the bottom of the newsletter.

Statistical data is collected from users of our newsletter in order to optimise this service. The subscription to a newsletter, and its use, are identified with the subscriber within the newsletter engine.

Orders, registrations for events

When you order studies, brochures and other publications, or register for events by filling in forms that are sent to us via e-mail, your data will be manually checked against existing data for validity and currentness, and is modified where appropriate. For this reason our employees may need to contact you via e-mail or by phone. The publications you order are identified with you when the determination can be made.

Links

We check links that go to third-party websites very carefully. Nevertheless, we do not assume any responsibility or liability for the content of sites linked from the DEXWET website.

Social media plug-ins

For social sharing of our content, we use a 2-click solution for enhanced data protection. This means that data is passed only to the respective platform (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) when you click the button. Please refer to their websites for  privacy information specific to each network.
