Pollutants PDF Print E-mail
Where exactly does this fine dust lurk? Which pollutants are actually contained in fine dust? What dangers lie in wait for me and, above all, where do they hide?

The fine dust concentrations inside rooms and buildings are significantly higher than you would find in nature. As a rough estimate, the concentrations of fine dust in rooms and buildings exceed external concentrations by a factor of 1.5 to 2!! Due to the fact that people spend significantly longer indoors than out in the fresh air, the concentration of fine dust indoors is therefore a much more serious health issue than its outdoor counterpart. Fine dust indoors has a much greater potential for toxicity than fine dust outdoors.

Composition of fine dust particles:

Lead oxide, cadmium oxide, nickel oxide, stannic oxide, sodium oxide, sulphate, nitrate, chloride, soot, PAH, etc.
These words simply exude the notion of being health hazards, don't they?

Mind you, there is much worse out there!

Investigations conducted by independent institutions have shown that fine dusts from toners and electronic equipment are a great deal more critical because, in most cases, no quality assurance work has been conducted into the composition of these dusts.

According to EPEA Internationale Umweltforschung GmbH these fine toner dusts sometimes contain substantial quantities of nickel or mercury.Even the fluctuating levels of organic tin compounds, which act in a similar manner to hormones, levels of styrene and the distributions of particle sizes demonstrate clearly that toner dusts have never been optimized to address environmental and health issues.

Let's summarise:

Lead oxide, cadmium oxide, nickel oxide, stannic oxide, sodium oxide, sulphate, nitrate, chloride, soot, PAH, nickel, mercury, styrene etc. etc. etc.

Headaches, irritation of eyes and skin, allergies, bronchitis and even asthma, cancer, heart and lung disease, cystic fibrosis...

Don't give fine dust a chance using Dexwet's innovative range of filter systems!
